We’re kicking off the second semester with Spirit Week and our annual Big Bear Classic Basketball Tournament!  It’s a dress-down week - here are the themes for each day!  (Guidelines for Non-Uniform Days apply to all Spirit Week outfits.)

• Monday - Rags vs. Riches
• Tuesday - Cowboys vs. Pirates
• Wednesday - Bikers vs. Surfers
• Thursday & Friday - Sea of Red!! 

The Big Bear Classic starts on Thursday, February 1st!  SJB Senior Girls play at 10:00 am and the Senior Boys play at 11:40 am. Tickets are available at the door. The cost is $5 per day and $10 for a 3-day tournament pass, (students are $2 per day and $5 for a 3-day tournament pass). Students have the opportunity to purchase their passes on Thursday morning in class before the SJB teams play. (Students who do not purchase a pass will be required to stay in the MPX.) Come out and cheer on our SJB Bears!  

The SJB Marketing Class will be running a concession (cash, debit, and credit accepted). The menu includes: 

• Bowl of Chili and a Bun (topped with sour cream and cheese)
• Nachos and Cheese
• Samosas
• Hot Dogs
• Chili Cheese Dogs
• Fresh Fruit Smoothie: (Strawberry, Banana and Mango Smoothie)
• Root Beer Float
• The Big Bear Latte (Cherry Chocolate Mocha)

The winners of the Thursday morning games (Go, Bears, Go!!) will play at 6:20pm and 8:00pm in order to advance to the Top 8 on Saturday (See the full schedule here).  Check out @stjohnbrebeuf and @sjb_athletics2023 for updates.
